Take a look at this lineup.

In Thai convenience stores, you’ll find a huge variety of cosmetic brands sold in small pouch-sized packs. It’s a paradise for beauty lovers! I’ve handpicked only the products that are not available in Japan and that I’ve personally tried and loved.
1. Yanhee Mela Cream & Vitamin C Serum

First up, the famous Yanhee Clinic’s original skincare line! Both the Melasma Cream and the Vitamin C Serum cost around $2.7 each.
The Melasma Cream contains ingredients like tranexamic acid and glycolic acid, which help treat skin troubles like dark spots and freckles. It also works to restore darkened skin to a healthier tone.
Vitamin C is great for morning use to prevent pigmentation, while the Melasma Cream works as a whitening night cream. These cost around 3,000 yen($20) in Japan, so definitely grab them while you’re in Thailand.
How the Melasma Cream feels:
It has a thick, rich texture and can feel a bit sticky right after application, but it’s highly moisturizing. Living in a tropical climate means sun protection is crucial. After six months of use, I noticed that the small spots on my cheeks had visibly faded. Since you only need a thin layer, one pouch lasts forever. I’ll absolutely repurchase it on my next visit.
How the Vitamin C Serum feels:
This serum comes in a hygienic pump bottle. The gel feels cool and refreshing, making it easy to apply even on busy mornings. After using the serum, toner absorbs much better. Although there’s a bit of stickiness and it can pill under some base makeup, it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It’s a great gift for women!
While the plastic bottle feels a bit cheap, the effectiveness totally makes up for it.
Both products are widely available in convenience stores across Thailand.
2. Keratin Hair Treatment

Next, I highly recommend the keratin hair treatments. Keratin is known for its repairing and moisturizing properties, and it’s popular in Japanese salons too. Try one of the pouch-type treatments—you won’t regret it.
After shampooing, apply the treatment and gently comb through your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Leave it for a few minutes before rinsing, and you’ll get silky, manga-like hair.
There are many types, so try a few to find your favorite. For my thick and wavy hair, the gold-packaged “VITA-KERATIN” worked best—I loved it so much I later bought the full-size container.

Each Prices
- VITA KERATIN (small pouch): 10 THB (approx. $0.3)
- VITA KERATIN (container): 99 THB (approx. $3)
- KERATIN TREATMENT Mask (pouch): 49 THB (approx. $1.47)
- X Cute Me (pouch): 19 THB (approx. $0.5)
They look cute, are trendy, and the pouch format is rare in Japan
—great as small souvenirs!
Bonus: A Stronger Hair Treatment
I found an even better one!

Green Bio’s Super Treatment Cream (Price : 12 Thai Baht/ $0.3)
Sold in individual sachets and occasionally in bottles (the latter being too big for carry-on). For souvenirs, stick to the sachets. If it’s for personal use, pack the bottle in checked luggage.
Apply after shampooing and leave for a few minutes (again, comb through for best results). It’ll make your hair incredibly smooth in one use! One sachet lasts 2–3 uses, even for my waist-length hair—great value at around $0.3
It smells like a salon treatment and keeps your mood lifted all day!
DENTISTE Premium Probiotics Toothpaste
The one on the left!

I always check toothpaste when I visit overseas pharmacies, and this one is my absolute favorite. I’ve tried many, but DENTISTE Premium is on another level.
Make sure it’s the “Premium” version (gold band design). It’s not sold in Japan. The catchphrase “Kiss ready in the morning” is no joke—your mouth feels fresh when you wake up. Plus, it has excellent whitening effects. Makes a great souvenir!
Costs around $4 in Thailand.
The non-premium version in Japan can go for nearly $17.
Vaseline Sunscreen (Pouch)

Next up: the middle one. The pouch format is the game-changer!
Sunscreen is essential, but regular bottles are bulky. This Vaseline pouch sunscreen is compact and perfect for travel.
With SPF50+ PA++++, it offers strong sun protection, even in the tropics. It also contains niacinamide, vitamin C, and vitamin E to fight aging. The Vaseline brand is reliable, and the lotion feels like a moisturizer—no chalky residue. Plus, it has a screw cap and fits in a small bag. I carry it everywhere!
MAXIM Comfort Drops (Eye Drops)

For contact lens wearers with dry eyes—this is a lifesaver. At just $2.7, it keeps your eyes moist all day.
Apply 1–2 drops before putting in your lenses, and your eyes will feel fresh and hydrated. Use again whenever your eyes feel dry—it works instantly.
The formula is thick, which prevents evaporation. I bought six bottles for myself before leaving Thailand!
Lutein Supplement

One more eye-care item: Lutein. Especially great if you spend all day on a PC or phone.
Try it for a week—you might feel like the haze is lifted from your vision.

The capsule version is easy to take, but I loved the tablet that dissolves in water.
It’s fizzy, delicious, and surprisingly effective.

It might look a bit suspicious, but trust me—it works. One tube lasts a week. I drink it daily now and my eyes feel so much better.
As a blogger constantly staring at screens, eye-care supplements are a must. When my eyes are overstrained, I get headaches and can’t work at all. This product helps keep me going.
I have even more Thai convenience store favorites to share in future posts!
Also, during this trip, I had my first visit to a Thai strip bar—thanks to a seasoned local. It was… surprisingly fun.
